Jamia Receives 33,434 Applications for 350 B.Tech. Seats

The Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Jamia Millia Islamia has received an unprecedented number of Application Forms for admission to its B. Tech. course in Civil, Computer, Electrical, Electronics & Communications and Mechancial streams for the academic session 2014-15.

A total number of 33,434 Application Forms have been received against an intake of 350 seats. Out of total, 20,932 candidates have applied for through Online Mode while 12,502 Applicaton Forms have been receaived through Offline Mode.

This rush of applications is ascribed to excellent placement record of the Faculty in various prestigious national and multi-national companies such as ACC, HCL, Mahindra, Samsung, Adobe, Unitech, Siemens, Maruti among many others.

Also, the Faculty of Engineering and Technology has received a total 10,752 forms for admission to Diploma in Engineering (Regular) course. There are 300 seats on offer in Diploma in Engineering at Jamia.

The University is all set to hold Entrance Tests for admission to Diploma Engineering (Regular) and B.Tech. courses on 7th & 14th June, 2014 respectivley. Further updates of the Entrance Test may be obtained from the University’s website: www.jmi.ac.in
