Fine Arts Student Bags Prestigious Art Scholarship to Paris

It is a matter of great pride and pleasure for Jamia Millia Islamia that Ms. Anupama Kumari, a student of M.F.A. Final Semester at the Department of Applied Art, Jamia Millia Islamia has bagged the Krishnakriti Foundation Fellowship (in Association with the Embassy of France in India) for the year 2012-13 and has been selected to The Ecole Nationale Sueprieure des Beaux Arts, Paris.

It is important to mention that The Ecole Nationale Suéprieure des Beaux Arts, is the distinguished National School of Fine Arts in Paris, France. There are many notable alumini of The Ecole Nationale Suéprieure des Beaux Arts, Paris such as Henri Matisse, Claude Monet, Gustave Moreau, William Craig Morris, Albert Marquet, Edgar Degas to name just a few.

Ms. Anupama Kumari is the first student in the history of Faculty of Fine Arts to receive this prestigious award and her peers say that her achievement will go a long way in inspiring other students in the faculty to excel too.

Her teachers at the faculty of Fine Arts say that Ms. Anupama has been a committed and sincere student of the Faculty of Fine Arts for the last six years.
