SIO Campaign for Student Unity Launched on Campus

Students Islamic Organisation of India (SIO), Jamia Millia Islamia Zone  launched its 10-days campus campaign under the “Students Community – Show Unity” slogan. In a gathering at the University Polytechnic Lawn, Anis-ur-Rahman, Zonal President SIO Delhi, inaugurated the program.

Anis reminded students about their commitment towards their community and society. “Islam is not just a religion advising people to be more spiritual but it’s an ideology which addresses the people with their burning issues, if we search in the Quran we will get lots of instances. Like that SIO is not a Muslim organization but it is an Islamic organisation as its name denotes. It is for all students without considering their religion, gender, caste, class, etc. Its activities are also made according to this objective,” said Anis.

In his presidential address SIO JMI Zonal President, Ajmal V said that fear is the main setback of JMI students. Only united group of students can break this fear. “SIO focus to make a creative campus, where academic debates, cultural activities, social activities would be the major concerns of students along with their academics. Students should strive in unite for nurturing good deeds and vanishing evils from the society at all,” Ajmal said to the gathering.

This campaign is mainly focusing students’ unity in campus. SIO has set variety of programs in this regard such as cultural programs, public meet, etc. By this campaign SIO impresses upon to bring confidence among students community in Jamia.

Mohamed Hamid, ZAC Member, SIO JMI delivered the welcome speech and the vote of thanks was delivered by Md. Abdul Azeez, Zonal Secretary, SIO JMI.
