Turkish Folk Dance Troupe Enthrall Audience at Jamia

A Turkish troupe of folk dancers from the Hacettepe University in Ankara, Turkey performed at the Ansari Auditorium on Monday, Nov. 1, 2010.

The event was organized by the Turkish embassy, in co-operation with Jamia.

The troupe comprised of about a dozen members, a mix of both men and women, who performed various energy filled dance numbers to an upbeat traditional Turkish music.

The event was about an hour long, which was filled with short, back-to-back dance numbers.

The venue  was packed to capacity, and the entire performance was accompanied with a constant din of applause, and howling sounds of appreciation by the audience.
